And now a gin and tonic

Pleased to say UCSF was great today. Feel good about surgery there in a few days.
I am just waiting for the scans to begin they gave me an IV and told me they’re putting glucose and a small bit of radiation into my veins. On the way into the room the sign read nuclear medicine. Really hoping I glow in the dark later.
Good thing I’m not getting a cholesterol test tomorrow. I had to be low carb today to prep for tomorrows test. I had eggs, bacon, cheese and steak. There were a few veggies, but mostly just meat which was pretty delicious.
We’re having fun in San Fran. Lots of outdoor dining and mask wearing so hopefully avoiding covid. Now that we are here the anxiety of actually getting here is gone.
Jeff said he now understands hot flashes. Last night we were cold since it was 45 degrees and we were eating outside. At one point i had a hot flash threw off my winter coat and moved away from the heat lamp and sat there in a tee shirt and still was sweating.
my hair hasn’t looked this good in 2 years. I also haven’t worn jeans in two years.
We look like deer in headlights because the seat next to us is empty. With every straggler that boards we get nervous. So far so good. This 8 hour fight will be better if we have an empty seat between us.
If I knew I’d be singled out for a search I would have packed lighter. The security person unzipped my carry on and it was like a sock cannon. Socks and bras flew out.
