Today we tried the other swim up bar. It was also quite good.
I saw a lot of kids playing in this fountain and couldn’t wait to try out myself.
It was not fun. Not sure why kids liked it. It was like freezing cold water pelting my head. Luckiky there were 4 other pools to try out.
Also tried this Panamanian cheeto which was really good.
Now we’re back in Panama City. Our friend Samuel is teaching us to make arepas.
We had a great day at the pool and beach.
Its hard to believe since I have so much clothing on, but I am at the swimup bar.
This little kid and his brother had their own mini convertibles. When he drove by us at breakfast I waved. He nodded as if he was a 19 yr old cruising for chicks.
The ocean was great, no waves and warm. There was a steep beach and I knew getting out would be hard and funny. I asked Jeff to take pictures.
After several tries, a mouthful of water and a somersault in the waves, Jeff had to put the phone down and rescue me out of two feet of water. He beat the nice lifeguard who was also walking toward me ready to pull me out.
It was a great day. We’ll be sad to leave tomorrow but it will good because we are both burnt.
Thank you all for the amazing birthday love!!! It’s been a great birthday. We are at a resort on Playa Blanca two hours from Panama City.
Even though we see water from our apt, there is no beach in Panama City. Here we are able to feel the sand between out toes and swim in the ocean
Ironically the sand is not all white like the name suggests. There is also some spots with black sand which is still really pretty.
We are here for a long weekend. Tomorrow we plan to check out the swim up bar. I’m finally able to drink a bit so it’s good timing.
I’m officially out of nadir!!! I still have 2 more weeks before I’m officially done. But I’m feeling great and my latch hook is done!!
Today I walked to the park. I was going to stop at the store too but was so a bit tired for that. Tomorrow I will be out of nadir! Then every day I should be able to do a bit more.
Spy or lover of doors?
I went for a walk today and found a little door along the gate of a fancy apt building. As I was taking photos a security guard stopped me and told me to stop.
I showed him my Instagram page of doors and he understood. Well I don’t think he understood why I liked doors but understood I wasn’t snooping around. I then told him I’d delete the photos. He really lost interest when he watched me delete 20 photos of the same door.
Last night we had a great time with our friend Kimby. It’s always so fun and amazing to see friends from home in a foreign country. She was only in town for one night so it worked out perfectly that she was able to come over.
Today I was feeling up for a walk which was nice. I was walking so slowly I had time to look at the landscaped flowers along the way. I tried to take some pictures.
Most of them came out blurry, but I must have looked so funny slowly walking then stopping to jam my phone into the flower beds.

Today I’m on the way back up from nadir. I’m still tired but feeling good.
Our friend Kimby is a flight attendant and she got a flight to Panana City! She’s going to come over for dinner tonight.
The last time we saw her was in Panana before covid! Really looking for to seeing her tonight.
Today is the nadir or lowpoint of this cycle. My immune system should start improving tomorrow. I celebrated the last nadir with the last Pop Tart in the box.
Today was another day of resting. If I have to do nothing but rest, this is a great view to have while resting.
