I took a lot of photos of doors, which now that I think about might have led me to getting my wallet stolen

I had my cross body purse on me at all times. But when I see a doir I like I dont pay attention to anything else.

Someone was able to unzip my purseand take out my wallet without me realizing it.

It was for sure not the guy in the above photo. They guy had his hands full.

I’m almost sure it didn’t happen in this church.

Although check out the figures on the main altar.

The guy on the top seems to have a bloody amputated leg. The guy on the right is holding a skull

The good thing is I didn’t realize it until we were back in Merida so it didn’t ruin our trip. We were able to freeze all four credit cards that were in my purse and one has already Fed Exed us replacement cards to Mexico.
So all is well but next time I see a nice door I’m going to ask Jeff to hold my purse.

I’m sorry to hear about the loss of your wallet.
However, when you wrote that you would ask Jeff to hold your purse, I pictured you saying it as if you were in a bar fight telling Jeff “Hold my beer.”
Ha I wish. I can just imagine him standing there with my purse while I tried to beat someone up.
Oh no…I’m so sorry.
On a positive note, your pics are beautiful & I enjoy “seeing” Merida through your eyes!
Thank you. I have learned my lesson. I have been so lucky these last few years I got careless.
Oh no!! Gorgeous photos, tho. I hope you have a back up ID🫤
Yes, luckily they didn’t get our passports which were also in my purse.
Bummer about your wallet, but I like your positive attitude. Sneaky bad guys! 🤬
I love the door pics… more please.
Thanks. You are too nice. But I will take a bunch more. I really think doors appeal to the forecaster in us. Something about nice neat rectangles.
