Today I felt good so we went for a walk in the Coste De Este neighborhood. I forgot to wear my sun hat so I had to use my hair as a neck covering. It was a hot as you would imagine.
The tide was out which highlighted the trash that washed up on the beach. It’s hard to see in this photo. Any trash you see unfortunately there is so much more. Every weekend volunteers clean the beach but more just washes up. You can really understand the problem of plastic in the ocean when you see it.
Seeing the trash made me feel icky but there was this portable sink.
Walking felt great but I was a little more tired than I expected so we cut the walk short and went to Organica.
Look how smug I am buying organic.
We’ve been to this location at least 10 times but today was the first time I noticed a cafe on the second floor.
from the second floor in took this photo and freaked out Jeff when in called to him from up here. He also didn’t know there was a 2nd floor.
Then later in the day there was this rainbow, unrelated to shopping or the walk but still nice.
Awwww, sounds like a nice day:) Except for the beach garbage:(
I didn’t notice the 2nd floor cafe at our local grocery store, and was confused when our neighbor told me to charge my phone there during a power outage.
Always look for stairs, I guess.
Haha I’m so glad I’m not the only one. I only noticed because I smelled something cooking.
Sounds like a good day and a rainbow to top it off! ❤️🌈
Yes, it’s great to feel good and see a rainbow.
It’s cool to discover new surprises every day… the amount of trash is disappointing…..imagine if that was on your roof or windows blocking all of the light and ability to get to fresh air, or in your yard blocking your ability to move around….I can only imagine what it feels like for the creatures of the ocean…..we are the most inconsiderate neighbors of all 😔
Yes the trash is so disturbing. And that’s just what washes up. Not to mention what’s still floating out there.
